The Broyhill Family Office was established in 1980 to manage the proceeds from the sale of Broyhill Furniture Industries. Broyhill Furniture was, and remains, one of the country's most respected furniture brands.

The proceeds from the sale of Broyhill were invested into BMC Fund, Inc, an SEC registered private investment fund managed by Paul H. Broyhill, former CEO of Broyhill Furniture. Paul Broyhill continues to serve as Chairmain of BMC today and is an active participant in defining our investment strategy. Since 1980, the family has employed both in house and outsourced Wall Street investment professionals. Our conclusion has been that there is a distinct misalignment of goals between corporate firms, who place their shareholders' interests ahead of their clients', and our family's investment objectives. Consequently, the Broyhill Family Office has developed our own investment expertise, consistent with our family's long-term investment philosophy.

In recent years, a growing number of non-family individuals sought investment advice from the Broyhill Investment Team which led to our registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission as a Registered Investment Advisor. This trend was also the catalyst to expand our depth and capabilities by establishing our affiliate office in Pennsylvania. Today, we have a diverse client base comprised of wealthy individuals and families, foundations, endowments and trusts.

We charge a fee for our services based upon the assets we manage. Our money is always invested alongside of our clients' and as a result, our interests are perfectly aligned with those of our investment partners. Our history of serving wealthy families affords us an understanding of the issues that matter to you and the knowledge and skills to address them.
