Summer Networking Event with CFA North Carolina Society
We are back on the ground in Lenoir today after a relaxing week in the Gulf. Pleased to report that the beaches we visited showed no evidence of tar balls, although Oil Booms along the coast served as an unpleasant reminder that the risks are not yet completely behind us. Suffice it to say that the local fishermen, are not exactly pleased with the “warm” response offered by BP. That said, we were encouraged by the appearance of ongoing development on many St Joe properties and the practically unlimited commercial opportunities sparked by the region’s new airport. Thanks again to David Childers, Vice President of Finance and Corporate Treasurer at JOE, for taking the time to visit with us, and especially for those delicious Grouper Tacos at the Water Sound Beach Club – worth the trip in and of themselves! We’ll have more to share in coming weeks, but for now, we are busy studying the PR Campaign better known as European Stress Tests
Until then, please feel free to drop by Maggiano’s to say hello if you are in the South Park area next week, where we’ll be hosting CFA North Carolina’s Summer Networking Event. First drink is on us for CFA NC members.
